Netanyahu and the Eida askan

Riddle:
What does PM Benjamin Netanyahu have in common with a senior leader of the Eida Hachareidis?

Answer:
they both said [the police] won't find anything because there isn't anything...

Police raided Eida offices in Mea Shearim today looking for Shimon Sisa's office. Sisa is being investigated for issuing fraudulent psychiatric papers to get youth exempted from the army. The police met violent opposition and quickly left the area after not locating his office.

Netanyahu said the same about the investigation into his affairs with Noni Moses that are suspected of being breach of trust and bribery and perhaps other crimes.

What do they say? The prisons are filled up with people who claim to be innocent...

  1. Violent opposition? So much for the claim that the Eida knows what Torah is, never mind follows it.

I know I shouldn't feed the trolls, but...If their halachic opinion is that the state has no legitimacy, police bursting in would have a din of בא במחתרת

    2. Except that's not the case. The police are not sneaking in. They are coming in through the front door. There is absolutely no Halachic justification for offering violence to police doing their job, no matter what your opinion of the legitimacy of the state is.

      The Eida is a racket.
